The Floor Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution and performance of the retail floor, ensuring that merchandising, customer service, stock availability, and overall store presentation, meet the highest standards. This is a hands-on role focused on turning stock into sales through disciplined execution, strong team supervision, and attention to detail. Procurement is managed separately, but the Floor Manager ensures stock is properly displayed and sold.
Key Responsibilities
1. Floor Operations Management – Oversee daily activities, maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety, and ensure store readiness at all times.
2. Merchandising & Stock Presentation – Ensure shelves are fully stocked and correctly priced,
implement merchandising standards, and adjust displays based on product movement.
3. Stock Control & Availability – Ensure timely replenishment, monitor out-of-stock items, conduct stock checks, and minimise losses.
4. Sales Team Management – Supervise staff, provide training, set targets, and drive accountability.
5. Customer Service Excellence – Ensure prompt engagement, handle escalations, and support key customers.
6. Sales Performance Execution – Drive sales, promotions, upselling, and cross-selling.
7. Store Discipline & Standards – Enforce discipline, presentation standards, and conduct daily floor walks.
8. Health, Safety & Compliance – Ensure safe handling of products and maintain safe, clear walkways.
