• Conduct the Inspection of all C&I installations at the power station
• Compiling the Data pack and ensuring handover to Eskom GCD
• Verification of accurate recording of all ITP’s and inspections on installations.
• Ensuring correct installation according to specifications.
• Verification of compilation of date book records.
• Follow up on all deviations and non-conformance reports.
• Ensure sign off on relevant witness and hold points on ITP’s where applicable.

• Oversee implementation of quality assurance and quality control on site.

• Participate in MRB (Material Review Board) weekly meetings.
• Direct activities of Field Quality Auditor Direct activities of Site Quality Officers.
• Manage quality training of subcontractor personnel and auditors and support them with documentation and procedures.
• Collect data and maintain regular quality reports, i.e. metrics, paretos, corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure all quality issues are reported through SunPower systems in a timely fashion.
• Ensure non-conforming materials are quarantined and tracked by subcontractor.
• Ensure that systems are in place and being used effectively for material receipt, inspection, acceptance, and traceability.
• Coordinate the collection of quality-related deliverables from subcontractors and SunPower construction personnel.
• Issue Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) as appropriate to address quality issues from construction subcontractors and track progress of SCARs.
• Lead 8D (8 Discipline) investigations of quality issues on site as appropriate.
• Maintain comprehensive records of quality issues on site.
• Communicate with all levels of construction team and management.
• Interface with construction personnel, subcontractors, supplier quality, and construction management.
• Support pro-active risk evaluation and mitigation
