Quality Technician

•  Ensure compliance to manufacturing SOPs, Control plans within the production environment and assist with adherence to Quality Management System (IATF 16949:2016).
• Conduct ISO, VDA based audits, safety audits and track actions related to the implementation of the corrective measures.
• Drive the implementation of quality tools and techniques (such as P-FMEA, DMAIC, SPC, pareto analysis, Ishikawa diagrams) for solving problems and continuously improve the manufacturing processes output and to reduce the non-conformance costs (NCC).
• Ensuring alignment between FMEA and Control plan to the latest method of working.
• Lead and co-ordinate all G8D investigations and continuous improvement activities on manufacturing process
• Identify and raise quality issues to Production and speedily resolve them to ensure zero impact to downstream processes and customer.
• Measure, collect, analyse, report and monitor factory failures data using statistical techniques and complex spreadsheets
• Ensure Layered Process Audits and Preventive & Predictive Activities is carried out as per schedule
• Conduct, support, and provide analysis for machine/process/quality information following FMEA and APQP standards.

• Ensure product quality is within specification in order to meet customer needs at all times.
• Facilitate root-cause analysis where applicable, for audit findings and verify and confirm adequacy of RCAs for all audit findings
• Ensure compliance to customer and other quality requirements and assist to close-out findings from external and internal audits.
• Liaison with different suppliers of raw materials for improvements and dealing with issues through the Supplier partnership program (SPP).
• Coordinate all corrective actions to eliminate customer product failures and internal not right first time (NRFT) problems by implementing Quick kaizens, OPL’s and QFR’s (Quick fix routines)
• Conduct and coordinate audit activities, which include scheduling, conducting, coordinating, providing relevant resources and administration for the audit teams.
• Troubleshooting process failures and introducing corrective actions to address them.
• Ensure that Preventative Actions and Layered Process Audit activities are carried out on the shop floor.
• Act as first point of contact for customer concerns – lead and coordinate all investigations and submit all results to customers.
• Monitor the system documentation lifecycle and ensure documentation is maintained and updated as per standard procedures and prepare reports.
• Understanding of specifications related to products and technical ability.
• Lead and coordinate Production Failure Management (PFM) on the shop floor to reduce NRFT and scrap rate.
• Optimization of the production process to archive production target as set out by the production plan.
• Provide accurate report on audits status and performance, highlight risks and/or opportunities identified through auditing.

• Assist production with daily production trouble-shooting and root cause analysis.
• Working in close co-operation with the production and quality control staff to obtain optimum quality levels.
• Create, review and update SOP’s, control plan in-line with best practice to ensure relevance and continued improvement.
• Train employees on best engineering practises and benchmarks.
• Calculate losses on every major energy user i.e. mills, kettles, dryers, compressed air, dust collectors etc.
• Production process improvement to increase efficiency.

• Report any failure to the Quality management immediately, and raise a Non Conformance Report to the line leaders and line supervisors.
• Doing online quality inspection of house hold and pharmaceutical products, and where necessary doing corrective action.
• Checking weights / weight controlling (over and underweight).
• Verifying at all times that Batch Numbers are used are correct.
• Using quality text information on production orders correctly.
• Doing toque test and Online quality checks of different product.
• Checking Quality operations on the labeling machine.
• Check on residual impurity values and ensuring that the changeover procedure / cleaning is adhered to.
• Doing AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) checks on every product before it leaves the factory floor.
• Review and update SOP, specifications and documentation.
• Doing internal audits for the quality systems (ISO 9001).

• Quality and Environmental Managers Assistant
