The role includes but is not limited to, all Caterpillar FMCG and component parts procurement for earth moving equipment i.e. Dump Trucks, Front End Loaders, Motor Graders, Excavators, Rope Shovels and Dozers along with cross border Logistics and 3PL, Supply and Warehouse Inventory Control, ensuring strict focus on safety and supply lead times to customers.
Oversea and execute various management and technical functions on a safety first basis, including strategic parts availability, facilities management, occupational health and safety, management of organisational structure and customer care. Investigate and approve all stock adjustments and write-offs in accordance with policy, as well as manage all the customer credits and returns in compliance with the trading terms. Review the warehouse layout, size of picking bins and other related items periodically to maximise productivity, storage space, minimise picking errors, damages and theft.
Improved OTIF (“On Time in Full” 94.22%) stock availability and geographical concentration, established minimum and maximum re-order levels and elimination of “dead stock”. Negotiated customer contract renewals, as well as identified lead time and supply chain improvement areas, while providing practical solutions and implementation.
