The CNC Machinist will report to the Production Foreman and will be responsible for:
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and
- vernier calipers.
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
- Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications,
- using precision instruments such as micrometers.
- Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in
- order to perform precision machining operations.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery
- Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
- Design fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.
- Keep a clean and manageable working area
- Fulfill training programs deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in your personal development
- To take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks in relation to your own job role and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate
- Machining within the required standard time.
- Using of measuring and test equipment.
- Maintain 5S housekeeping and safety on machines.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Any other duties as required, commensurate with job position
