Work Environment & Requirements:
- Office-Based: The candidate must be willing to work primarily from the office. This is essential for career development and hands-on learning opportunities.Site Work: Must be flexible and willing to travel to project sites for short durations (typically 1-2 weeks) as needed to support installation, testing, and other fieldwork activities.
- Note: Remote working will not be an option due to the importance of in-person collaboration and mentoring at this stage of their career.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and collaborate within a team-based office environment
- Good communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Education & Qualifications:
- Degree: Must possess a B.Sc. or B.Eng in Electrical Engineering (or a similar degree) that qualifies the individual to register as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng).
- Note: Candidates qualifying for Pr. Tech will not meet the client's requirements, as Pr. Eng sign-offs are essential.
Experience:
- Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experiencein power systems engineering.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in the mining industry or a closely related field is required. (Experience in the automotive industry or similar will not be considered).
- Design Experience: Hands-on design expertise in power systems, not just project management. Must be capable of performing complex engineering designs for power systems.
Skills & Competencies:
- Power Systems Engineering Design:
- Strong ability to design, model, and analyze power systems in a mining or industrial context.
- Capable of handling the design process end-to-end, ensuring adherence to client and regulatory specifications.
- Software Competency:
- Proficiency in relevant design softwareincluding, but not limited to:
- Demonstrated experience using these tools to develop, review, and optimize power system designs.
