Job Description

• Ensure smooth and efficient maintenance operation of Brakpan Fiber Cement factory.
• Perform other tasks as specified by the Plant Manager.
• Ensure that both he and his subordinates obey general safety, environment, and security regulations.
• Ensure that both he and his subordinates obey safety regulations and observe safety precautions as laid down in the Machinery and Occupational Safety Act.
• Ensure good maintenance standards to minimise downtime and cost.
• Improve and maintain effective human resources.
• Maintain workplace in a clean and workable condition.
• Appointed as GMR 2 according to the OSH Act.
• WCM implementation and Management.
• Manage and forecast the plant maintenance budget within agreed limits.
• Liaise with authorities on service supply issues of water and electricity.
• Ensure back-up supply availability where possible.
