Reporting to Regional Sales Manager
Main Purpose of Job:
To achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. Personally, contacts and secures new business accounts/customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales:
Promote/sell and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs
Preparation of a call Plan and Implementation thereof
Travel to defined geographies
Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, logistics and technical service department
Analyze the territory/market’s potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers to the organization
Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities
Identify advantages and compare the organization’s products/services
Anticipate potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapting strategy accordingly.
Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment
Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Inform management of potential for new products required by the customer and introduce and sell new products to the customers.
Customer Relationships:
Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services
Pre-arranged or cold-calling in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers
Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints
Product Knowledge and Training:
Keep abreast of product applications, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends by reading pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas
Attending of the weekly training session
Preparing and presenting training material when required
Compliance:
Representatives will be required to work a full day from 08h00 to 16h30
Attending workshops and Conferences as allocated and required.
Attend weekly office meetings as required.
Perform their duties outside of regular working hours when required.
Communication:
Solid verbal and interpersonal communication skills are critical.
Communication is clear, unambiguous, and appropriate for designated target audiences. Communication methods are suited to the work context.
Develops and maintains business relationships with current customers.
Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
Finance:
Managing allocated expense budget
Managing the Petrol allowance by planning area calls strategically and geographically
Admin:
Keeping detailed records of all contacts and contact details on Salesforce
Compile monthly reports as required.
Compile a weekly and Monthly call Plan on Salesforce
Complete call reports daily on Salesforce.
