Duties and Responsibilities:
The Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's supply chain. This role involves managing the efficient flow of raw material orders, coordinate shipments, track inventory, and liaising with vendors, carriers, the internal team and Commercial farmers to meet delivery deadlines and maintain high customer satisfaction. This position is also responsible for purchasing of local raw materials.
1. Key Job Functions
- Ensure optimum planning, execution and control over daily distribution activities
- Customer service (good communication skills with internal and external customers)
- Planning and scheduling of deliveries to customers as per demand from commercial.
- Planned delivery schedule to be sent through to production department.
- Assisting in the planning, procurement and collection of agricultural raw materials and trading goods.
- Ensure all procured products are tracked, monitored, and received accurately and on time to support business operations and inventory integrity.
- Communicate demand with suppliers and adhere to their loading protocols.
- Coordinate, manage deliveries and collection to customers.
- Coordinate inbound deliveries
- Maintain schedule and distribute to all parties.
- Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
- Assist in the development of strategic plans for distribution activity. Implement agreed distribution plans.
- Monitoring of Transport contracts’ expiry, renewals and new contractors.
2. Product Knowledge and Sales Support
- Must understand the agricultural industry with regards to purchasing and logistics, customer requirements as well as agricultural raw materials
