Purpose:
- The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing both preventive and corrective maintenance activities across all production equipment, machinery, and site installations.
- The role ensures operational reliability, supports the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, reduces equipment downtime, and drives maintenance efficiency in alignment with business goals.
- This position also ensures full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards while managing and developing the maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure technical reliability, safety, and quality across all machinery and installations.
- Supervise and monitor corrective maintenance, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution to minimize production downtime.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new machinery, including specification development, supplier coordination, and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Ensure a safe and compliant working environment for all maintenance personnel in line with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Approve spare parts and maintenance supply requirements, ensuring stock availability and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Analyse equipment breakdowns and conduct root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
- Lead the technical aspects of pilot runs and process changes, optimising production for new product introductions.
- Manage Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) data to drive operational improvements.
- Prepare and monitor the maintenance department’s operational and capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets.
- Support the execution of CAPEX projects to enhance infrastructure and operational capability.
- Ensure optimal CNC programming and machine optimisation for maximum productivity.
- Achieve and maintain an Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) rate of 90% or higher.
- Ensure maintenance expenditures remain within approved budget limits.
- Coordinate layout changes in the production area in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Manage contractor performance, ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.
- Keep abreast of industry innovations and implement relevant advancements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Drive team development through training, mentoring, and continuous performance improvement.
- Promote and uphold company’ internal procedures, practices, and policies.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Production Manager.
