Purpose of the job: An Electronic Engineer in a quality assurance role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and quality of products and components. They inspect, test, and document products, identifying defects, root causes, and recommending solutions for improvement. The Electronic Engineer reports to the Managing Director with a dotted line to the Procurement Manager.
The basic duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
•Evaluating new products.
•Defining product specifications.
•Inspecting goods received.
•Evaluate and report of product failures.
•Investigate root cause of defects and non-conformances.
•Draft quality assurance policies and procedures, update as and when required.
•Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
•Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
•Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
•Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.
•Work with technical and production teams to ensure quality standards are met.
•Monitor risk management activities.
•Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
•Hands-on approach to dealing with all functions relating to Q&A.
•Adherence to strict deadlines, quick turnaround times and ability to execute last minute demands.
•General duties and ad hoc tasks, projects and requests when required.
