The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational aspects of our importation, production, warehousing, and distribution processes. This includes supply chain management, compliance with legal and quality standards, and efficient workflow coordination to ensure that customer expectations and business goals are met. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager provides leadership and direction, promotes operational excellence, and cultivates a culture of high performance and accountability across departments.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:
•Oversee all import, production, warehousing, and distribution operations in line with company strategy and vision.
•Coordinate freight forwarding, customs clearance, and compliance with SABS/SANS and NRCS standards.
•Control and reconcile inventory, stock levels, and warehouse organization through regular cycle counts and ERP updates.
•Develop and implement standard operating procedures for optimal workflow and efficiency.
•Lead operational risk management, safety audits, and preventative maintenance activities.
•Conduct cost-benefit analysis on supply chain and implement efficiency improvements.
•Ensure financial control of operations through budgeting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
•Recruit, train, and manage operational staff with a focus on performance, accountability, and professional development.
•Produce regular operational reports and KPIs to support executive decision-making.
•Resolve internal and external customer service issues with urgency and professionalism.
