Description
1.
Position: financial accountant
Reporting: in Durban Head office – Verulam
Salary:
R25 000.00 to 30 000.00
2. Hours of Work
Your normal
The hours of work will be from 07h30 to 16h30 Monday to Friday. However, due to the
nature of our business and your position, you may be expected to work longer
hours as required including Saturdays.
3. Duties and Responsibilities
3.1 Cash book -capturing and allocation of deposit and payments.
3.2 Preparation and calculation of Vat scheduled.
3.3 Handling all SARS submission and liaising with SARS foe all tax type queries.
3.4 Preparing of annual financial statement for all the companies.
3.5 Compilation and preparation of monthly management accounts
3.6 Forecast budgeting -monthly expenditure.
3.7 Compiling and maintaining the asset register
3.8 Conducting internal audit
3.9 Managing internal audit
3.10 Managing and training stuff when necessary
3.11 Submit weekly report to finance manager and directors

Grade12 and Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree
Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables
*Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
*Experience with general ledger functions
*Hands-on experience with accounting software i.e. Sage 300
*Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
*Work experience as an Accountant
