Diagnostics:
Use diagnostic tools, computer systems, and specialized software to identify malfunctions and determine the root cause of problems in engines and other vehicle systems.
Maintenance & Repair:
Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on diesel engines and associated equipment, including repairs and replacements of engine, transmission, steering, braking, and electrical components.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate with customers to understand their needs, explain technical findings, and discuss required repairs and estimated timeframes.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed service reports, job cards, time sheets, and service records for compliance and customer information.
Logistics:
Coordinate the ordering and supply of necessary parts for service interventions and ensure efficient inventory management. \
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all company and customer health and safety procedures, and ensure equipment is compliant with safety regulations.
Record Keeping:
Maintain test result records and other technical documentation for quality standards and compliance.
Specialized Duties (May Vary by Role)
Engine Tuning: Utilize ECM software to tune engines for dynamometer testing and analysis.
Equipment Installation: Install and remove engines or other heavy equipment for testing or repair.
