The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and driving the sales strategy within the diesel/ power generator market. The role focuses on expanding market share, building long-term client relationships, and achieving revenue targets through proactive business development, effective team management, and strategic account growth. This position requires a strong technical understanding of diesel generators, excellent commercial acumen, and proven leadership skills in a B2B industrial sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company targets and drive business growth.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, and residential markets.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts through relationship-building and consistent follow-up.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to identify opportunities for market expansion.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations tailored to client requirements.
2. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to achieve individual and team objectives.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Set clear sales targets, monitor performance metrics, and ensure accountability within the team.
- Foster a results-oriented culture with a focus on customer satisfaction and repeat business.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through trust, reliability, and industry expertise.
- Oversee customer interactions to ensure professional service delivery and timely resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams — including engineering, production, and service — to ensure customer requirements are met.
4. Reporting & Administration
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management review.
- Ensure CRM systems are updated with current sales data, leads, and client interactions.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, trade shows, and product promotions to increase brand visibility.
