Job Summary:
The SAP Group Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the support & maintenance of SAP systems within the organization ensuring the reliability & efficiency of SAP systems, supporting business operations, & driving continuous improvement. This role involves ensuring system performance, & implementing enhancements to meet Afrilog's business needs. The role is also responsing for the training of new & existing employees to ensure underst&ing & correct use & application of the system
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance • Ensure the smooth operation of SAP systems, including regular maintenance & updates. • Coordinate, plan & assist with the implementation of SAP modules for existing & new business units within the Group Issue Resolution • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated SAP system issues, ensuring timely resolution of SAP related issues. • Use insights from resolved issues to drive continuous improvement in processes & systems. • Ensure that the entire issue resolution process, including the root cause, solution, & any lessons learned are documented & stored in an electronic knowledge database. Performance Monitoring • Monitor system performance & implement improvements to enhance efficiency & reliability. • Design & implement proactive monitoring to detect issues early & prevent them from escalating. • Implement issue detection systems such as user reports, system monitoring tools, or automated alerts. • Administer checks & validations for EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). • Monitor & resolve Monday.com queries, issues & escalations. Collaboration • Work closely with IT, Finance, & other departments to align SAP system functionality with business requirements. • Support the teams to identify & implement solutions which increase efficiency & effectiveness of the system. Training & Development • Provide training & support to end-users to enhance their underst&ing & use of SAP systems. • Coordinate & create end user training material & guides • Support line managers to evaluate SAP users’ skill levels & identify for training needs
Project Management • Oversee SAP-related projects, including system upgrades & new implementations. • Manage all project resources & support in defining the project scope, goals & objectives. Compliance • Ensure SAP systems comply with local legislative requirements, industry standards & company policies. • Manage the SAP support team in areas such as development of customer support processes. Health, Safety & QMS • Ensure compliance to all Health & Safety policies & procedures, & that corrective action is taken in cases of non-compliance • Drive continuous improvement of business processes, QMS, Health & Safety
