Permanent - Production Manager - Johannesburg (CBD) - South Africa

Seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee and manage our workshop manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will ensure that all shopfitting projects are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities.
• Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with project deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers, design teams, and procurement.
• Ensure accurate interpretation of technical and shop drawings.
• Maintain strict quality control standards.
• Oversee workshop staff including carpenters, machine operators, and general workers.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage materials, stock control, and minimize waste.
• Monitor machinery maintenance and workshop efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement and productivity enhancements.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Production Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years’ experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Minimum 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in shopfitting, joinery, or custom manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
