To provide accounting and administrative support to the Junior Accountant by assisting with
daily financial operations, record-keeping, and reconciliations within a fast-paced logistics
environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Support
- Capture and process supplier invoices, purchase orders, and fuel expenses
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations
- Support month-end procedures and basic management reports
- Assist with VAT input/output schedules and supporting documents
- Monitor and allocate logistics-related costs (freight, warehousing, fuel, tolls)
Logistics-Specific Duties
- Match supplier invoices to delivery notes, PODs, and waybills
- Assist with cost allocations per route, vehicle, or customer
- Track discrepancies between invoiced vs actual transport costs
- Support fleet-related expense tracking (maintenance, fuel, licensing)
Administrative Support
- Maintain organised filing systems (physical and digital)
- Assist with audit preparation and document retrieval
- Communicate with suppliers, transporters, and internal operations teams
- Perform general finance administration as required
