Purpose of the job
- Responsible for inspections of all components in line with the company's overall business plans and strategies.
Environmental, Safety & Health
- Direct responsibility for the Health, Safety and Environment of all fellow employees who either directly work in your area, or who visit the operational areas you are responsible for, either internal or external visitors.
- Including full legal & company compliance in areas under your responsibility.
- Develop a positive safety culture through the company Behavioral Safety Program.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Visual/Dimensional check of all parts and components required for the manufacture process in raw casting, semi or finished machined stage.
- Check all operations on the production order has been completed and signed off prior to commencing any inspections.
- Ensure that the required QCP’s, WKR’s and NDT’s are up to date, signed off and issued.
- Complete all NCR’s in a clear and understandable manner, issue goods return notes.
- Check all related inspection documentation by supplier to confirm 2.1 and 2.2, 3.1 and 3.2 Certification.
- Attend to all pressure test inspections and complete NCR’s if required.
- Ability to use mechanical and digital measuring equipment.(Digital Height Guage, UT, Digital Dial Indicator, CMM and related Software)
Continuous Improvement
- Support the continuous improvement process for operational issues.
- Participation in the development & implementation of best practice across the EMEA region.
- Develop Lean principles within all areas of your department.
- Support the digitization of equipment used to execute Quality Control
