Permanent - Sales Representative - Johannesburg - South Africa

We are seeking an experienced Trauma Sales Representative to drive sales and foster strong relationships within private orthopedic units in the Gauteng region. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the medical device sector, proven connections with orthopedic specialists, and the ability to work on-call as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with orthopedic specialists and key stakeholders in private hospitals
• Promote and sell trauma-related medical devices and solutions within assigned territories
• Respond promptly to on-call requirements to support customer needs and urgent cases
• Provide detailed product knowledge and training to healthcare professionals
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports and maintain accurate administrative records
• Negotiate effectively to close sales and achieve targets
• Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop sales strategies
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies

Key Requirements

• 3 – 5 years sales experience in orthopaedic trauma & arthroplasty, candidates with Biokinetics background may be considered

• Must have existing relationships with Surgeons in the above disciplines within GP
• Proven relationships with orthopedic specialists are essential
• Sound knowledge of human anatomy, particularly musculoskeletal system
• Own a reliable vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license
• Excellent command of English; proficiency in other languages is advantageous
• Strong administrative and reporting skills
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
• PC literate with ability to use common office software and sales tools
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Must be willing and able to work on-call as required
