Position: Senior Accountant

• We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in the mining and farming industry. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including filing tax returns and maintaining tax records
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance metrics
• Provide support for external audits and financial reporting requirements
• Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Collaborate with other departments to support operational and strategic initiatives
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff
• Key Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or advanced certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the mining or farming industry
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Position: Senior Accountant

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is highly preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with exposure to the mining or farming industry being advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP. Advanced knowledge of Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with specific accounting principles and regulations related to the mining and farming industry, including cost accounting, inventory management, and taxation.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify discrepancies, and propose practical solutions.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including management, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in financial reporting and adherence to deadlines for financial audits and regulatory filings.
