Key Responsibilities
- Time and Attendance Management: Checking and verifying hours worked during the week and on weekends for all wage employees.
- Payroll Processing: Managing weekly or monthly payroll for hundreds of, sometimes 2500+, employees.
- Statutory Compliance & Reporting: Submitting PAYE, UIF, and SDL to SARS, and managing deductions for provident funds, sick funds, and death applications (e.g., company in South Africa).
- Employee Data & Administration: Loading new employees, processing terminations, issuing IRP5s, and maintaining up-to-date personnel records.
- Query Resolution: Responding to employee questions regarding pay, leave, and tax.
- System Maintenance: Utilizing payroll software such as Sage 300, Sage VIP, or Easy Roster.

Requirements and Skills
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in a payroll administration role, specifically dealing with high-volume, multi-site, or wage-based payroll.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Sage 300/VIP, Easy Roster, and MS Excel.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of South African labour legislation (BCEA, Skills Development Act).
- Competencies: High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, ability to work under pressure, and confidentiality.
