- Welder CO2 Coded, will be responsible for welding various metal components to engineering specifications using the CO2 welding process.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding techniques and procedures.
- Set up welding equipment, including selecting the correct gas mixture and wire feed speed for CO2 welding.
- Weld metal components together using the CO2 welding method in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
- Inspect welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards, making any necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order, performing regular maintenance and troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met and deadlines are achieved.
