Role Purpose
- To perform safe, compliant, high-quality electrical work across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, focusing on maintenance and installation of LV distribution boards, installation of direct-on-line (DOL) and CT metering equipment, and fault-finding on circuits connected to distribution boards.
Key Responsibilities
- LV distribution board maintenance (corrective & preventative).
- Installation & commissioning of new LV DBs.
- Installation of DOL and CT metering equipment.
- Fault-finding on DB-fed circuits.
- Electrical testing, inspection & documentation.
- Safety compliance, SANS 10142-1 adherence, and LOTO procedures.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems (230/400V).
- DB installation, maintenance, wiring & load balancing.
- Skilled in DOL/CT metering installation and verification.
- Ability to read SLDs, DB schedules, wiring schematics.
- Strong diagnostic and instrument skills.
