Role Purpose
- The Financial Manager will take ownership of the group's financial function at a time of increasing complexity in the business. Over the next 12-24 months the group is considering a restructuring of the trust holdings, alongside a pipeline of capital expenditure (Capex) projects.
- The Financial Manager will be a key advisor to the Trustees and General Manager through both processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping, management accounts and financial reporting for the group's trusts and entities on Pastel.
- Oversee payroll processing on Sage.
- Manage inter-entity loan accounts and cash flow across the group's trusts and related parties.
- Liaise with the group's external accountants/auditors on annual financial statements, tax and compliance matters.
- Support the Trustees through the proposed restructuring of the trust holdings, including the in specie transfer of selected properties into company.
- Assess the feasibility of proposed Capex projects, including financial modelling, return on investment (ROI) analysis and opportunity cost considerations, and make recommendations to the Trustees, while supporting the Project Manager through budgeting and cost-accounting.
- Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to the Trustees and General Manager to support decision-making.
- Oversee the group's office IT requirements, acting as the primary liaison with IT service providers across telecoms, systems and data storage.
- Contribute to the evaluation and potential implementation of an ERP system, aimed at improving control over the group's two largest expense categories: employee costs and maintenance.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BCom Accounting or equivalent).
- Completed articles at a leading accounting firm preferred (SAICA/SAIPA).
- 3–5 years' post-articles experience at an intermediate Financial Manager level.
- Working knowledge of Pastel and Sage, or comparable accounting and payroll systems.
- Experience with property/rental portfolios and/or trust structures advantageous.
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to assess project feasibility and ROI.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and IT systems advantageous, to support liaison with telecoms, systems and data storage providers.
- Experience with ERP systems advantageous, particularly in managing employee cost and maintenance expenditure.
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Tzaneen, Limpopo.
- High level of integrity and discretion, given the family office nature of the role.
