Position: Project Manager – Aluminium Installations

Reports to: Managing Director

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Position requires an experienced, hands-on Project Manager to oversee aluminium window, door and glazing installations across residential and commercial construction sites. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Project & Site Management:

Plan and oversee multiple installation projects, schedules and deadlines. 

Conduct site visits; coordinate with builders, architects and contractors.

Confirm site readiness before installation begins.

2. Installation Team Supervision:

Supervise installers, allocate tasks and monitor productivity. 

Ensure correct workmanship and resolve technical site problems.

3. Factory & Material Coordination:

Liaise with production and procurement to ensure timely availability of frames, glass and hardware. 

Monitor deliveries, shortages, damage and material wastage.

4. Quality Control & Handover:

Inspect installations, identify defects and manage snag lists. 

Complete final inspections and coordinate client handovers.

5. Communication & Reporting:

Communicate with clients and contractors; attend site meetings. 

Provide daily progress reports, site photographs and updates on delays or variations.

6. Cost Control & Safety:

Monitor labour, overtime, material usage and approved budgets.

Enforce site safety procedures and PPE requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the aluminium and glazing industry; site/team management experience.

Knowledge of aluminium windows, sliding and stacking doors, and glazing systems. 

Ability to read architectural drawings and verify site measurements. 

Strong leadership, organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.

Computer literacy (Excel, email and WhatsApp);

Valid driver’s licence. 

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
